Provalis Research, a leading provider of text analysis software, is pleased to announce the release of WordStat 6.1, offering a new multilingual user interface, enhanced linguistic support and faster performance for analyzing textual data.
WordStat is a flexible content analysis and text mining tool that quickly extracts themes, trends and patterns from large collections of text data such as customer feedback, emails, open-ended responses, interview transcripts, incident reports, patents, legal documents, blogs and websites. It can analyze documents in most human languages such as in English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Greek or even right-to-left languages such as Hebrew, Arabic and Farsi. Its seamless integration with SimStat (a statistical data-analysis tool) and QDA Miner (a qualitative data analysis software program) gives unprecedented flexibility for analyzing text and relating unstructured content to structured information, such as numerical or categorical data and dates.
WordStat is used by market researchers and pollsters, crime analysts and paralegal professionals, business intelligence experts and a wide range of social scientists.
This new version of WordStat introduces several improvements such as:
- A new multilingual user interface (English, French and Spanish);
- Improved linguistic support with integrated dictionaries and thesauruses for five languages (English, French, Spanish, German and Portuguese) to assist the development of taxonomies and content analysis dictionaries;
- A 50% improvement over its predecessor in processing speed, allowing one to analyze up to 30 million words per minute.
