Virtual grouping of codes
This video shows you about the virtual grouping of codes. The VIRTUAL GROUPING function allows you to temporarily group all codes in a category and instruct QDA Miner to compute frequencies and obtain statistics at the category level without reporting statistics on codes underneath it. For example, if a category named POSITIVE contains five codes, by default, the CODING FREQUENCIES command will report statistics on each of those. If you virtually group codes in this category, the same command will no longer display statistics to each code, but only a single line of statistics for the POSITIVE category.
