Consulting services

Dominic offers both Training and Consultancy services in the use of Provalis applications (QDA Miner, WordStat and SimStat).

He has extensive experience of delivering training for IT systems in the workplace, including Provalis applications. His clients have included the UK MOD and other government departments, Citizens Advice Bureaux and St John Ambulance

He can not only teach how to use the functions of Provalis’ software, but also how to apply them to research projects, and how to design research projects to take best advantage of the software.

Dominic also offers expert qualitative and quantitative research and data analysis services to aid: evaluation; process improvement; quality assurance; decision making; and to predict outcomes. He specializes in combining data from diverse sources and using cutting edge data and text analytics technologies to discover patterns that give additional insight and new knowledge.

Experience

Dominic has extensive experience of using QDA Miner and WordStat professionally.

He has used Provalis applications ‘in the field’ working on projects for the UK MOD, Depaul UK (a homelessness charity), and DataKind UK to analyze large text corpora, to build bespoke taxonomies and synonym dictionaries, and to bring structured and unstructured data together in single analyses to discover and extract patterns, correlations, anomalies, entities, relationships, topics, themes and facts that would not have been apparent had just one type of data been used.

He has also used these programmes and SimStat for mixed method assignments for his MSc in Social Research Methods.
